2017 rocked in the New Year with soulful and powerful performances by international rock stars Sting and the late Chris Cornell. Hosted by comedian Zach Galifianakis, the event drew our biggest crowd yet and helped raised over $700,000 for EB Research. We are grateful to Alex & Ani for sponsoring the evening. What an amazing night as Grammy Winner and international musical sensation Ed Sheeran brought everyone to their feet at our 3rd Annual Rock4EB! in Malibu. Thanks to our supporters, over 600 guests were treated to delicious food tastings from Nobu, Pink’s Hot Dogs, Akasha/Sambar, Prova Pizza,Treats Frozen Yogurt, Georgetown Cupcake, Wally’s Vinoteca, Chipotle and tasty libations from Redbull, Rums of Puerto Rico, and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, followed by an amazing performance by Ed. Laughs were all around with writer/director Judd Apatow & Friends at Largo, raising over $10,000 for The EBMRF. Judd was joined onstage by singer Ryan Adams, as well as surprise guests Adam Sandler, David Spade, Garry Shandling and Pete Holmes for an evening of hilarity and charity.
Jackson Browne & David Spade hosted our 2nd Annual Rock4EB fundraiser in Malibu and helped raise over $400,000 for research. Among the over 400 guests were Bill Maher, Adam Sandler, Courteney Cox, Orlando Bloom, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Judd Apatow and others. The beautiful outdoors and ocean views were the backdrop of our Family Picnic for the 2009 opening of The Lumber Yard in Malibu. Sponsored by Sinupret & Yogen Fruz, the event included kids activities, great food, and fabulous shopping. Hosts James Marsden, Courteney Cox & David Arquette joined other celebrities and families in a fun day to raise funds for the EBMRF.
Guests were treated to a fun family afternoon with the private screening of Universal’s HOP co-hosted by James Marsden and Kaley Cuoco, while attendees Brad Pitt, Skeet Ulrich, Elizabeth Perkins, Adam Sandler and others brought their families to enjoy the movie, with fabulous treats from Blowfish and delicious tastings from Bolthouse Farms, A Sweet T., Along Came Mary, Pirate Booty and Polkatots Cupcakes.

The EBMRF was joined by celebrity supporters Jennifer Aniston, Orlando Bloom, Courteney Cox, Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, James Marsden, Jessica & Ashlee Simpson, Casey Affleck, Rashida Jones, Eve and others to celebrate the launch of their GivEBig campaign to raise $1 million. Thanks to Stiefel Laboratories’ generous donation, the night was a huge success! Executive Vice President, Todd Stiefel, made the surprise announcement at the event via phone to co-host Ken Paves, confirming that the Company would match any donations up to $1 million. The private event was held at Beso in Hollywood and brought out supporters for an evening of good food, good music and giving back. The event, which was filmed for Oprah, was highlighted on her show the following week and helped bring EB into the spotlight!
The EBMRF partnered with Kinerase to host 300 guests for an outrageous evening of Drag Queen EBingo at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Reese Witherspoon, Courteney Cox & David Arquette, Ricki Lake, David Spade, and other supporters enjoyed a hilarious evening of Bingo, a silent & Live auction and other surprises, raising almost $200,000 for the EBMRF. COACH hosted a luncheon for the opening of their new Beverly Hills store as a benefit for the EBMRF. Shoppers delighted in the fun filled afternoon with handbags, clothing and accessories all under one roof.
On Nov 2nd 2006, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, hosted an intimate dinner to benefit the EBMRF. Through hers and her guests’ generosity, we were able to grant wishes to many EB families with special needs such as strollers, computers, health care items and sewing machines (to make shoes), in addition to sending 10 kids to Camp Wonder!
Vacheron Constantin hosted a private evening under the stars for more than 250 guests, who came to listen to Platinum Recording artist, John Legend, while also helping to raise funds and awareness for EB. Vacheron Constantin presented a check for $100,000 to the EBMRF. Guests included Jennifer Aniston, David Arquette, Rebecca Romijn, and Holly Robinson Peete among others. The EBMRF took to the water as we hosted our First Annual CelEBration On The Pier in Santa Monica on September 29, 2007, hosted by Courteney Cox & David Arquette and KINERASE-Games, rides, music and entertainment awaited the over 700 guests who attended. Guests included Adam Sandler, James Marsden, Kate Beckinsale, Kyle Chandler, Dermot Mulroney, Catherine Keener and others. It was a great day for EB families!
The EBMRF and 250 supporters took a trip back in time at the new Laserium Show in Hollywood to experience the sights & sounds of classic rock music and an awesome laser show. The event raised over $9,000 for EB research.
Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette, along with Kinerase and the EBMRF hosted a party and benefit screening of the new Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, starring Johnny Depp. The event, which garnered much media attention was a sold out, celebrity filled event and raised over $190,000 for research.
The Silverspoon Hollywood Buffet played host to the EBMRF as the beneficiary of its exclusive event in Beverly Hills.
